Refracting Light Paintings Created by M. Patricia Roth
Years ago, I had recurring dreams of floating in and out of boxes as I studied the shadows they cast upon each other.
One day I walked into my studio and was greeted with beautiful patterns of color cast on the floor by colorful plastic boxes sitting on the windowsills sitting in sunlight.
I became obsessed with painting those reflections and how they changed imagery on each other.
When my therapist saw the paintings, he pointed out that this is what we do to one another when we live in close proximity.
He immediately purchased a painting.
