The music was hot; non-stop beat, smoke machines, strobe lights, shimmering colors...snapshots couldn't capture it all.

The dance floor was filled with whirling dancers, laughter and Pat with her mini Nikon.

The shutter took forever to open and close, but she managed to shoot 500 images which she began to edit on her computer at home.

For over a year she played with the colors and shadows, rescuing out-of-focus corners and pixelated images.  

Only after all the digital manipulation did she realize that she had captured with her camera and computer,

what she had been trying to paint for years. The image of fleeting sound.

By changing colors she was able to change the music that was playing.
